The Kurdish-American Investors Association fosters economic collaboration, linking Kurdistan and US investors to explore mutual investment opportunities.
The Kurdish-American Investors Association, which was established as a joint economic effort between the investors of the Kurdistan Region and America, has been formed. The president of the group also provides information.
Jamal Hama Rashid, the president of the group, told Kurdish Globe:
“This group has a great objective—one of its objectives is to become closely aligned as a Kurdish and American investor organization that has been jointly established—and its activities serve as a bridge for the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and America in creating investment opportunities. It continuously maintains its connection with the American centers through several investors in the Kurdistan Region and America.”
He also said: “This group is non-governmental and is registered in the state of Illinois, Chicago, and has obtained official authorization. It is striving to become a bridge of connection between the investors of the Kurdistan Region and the investors of America, to identify the investment opportunities in America for the Kurdish investor, and so on.”
In a brief statement, he added: “In the future, the group will begin various activities and establish bridges of connection with specialized centers; this has been defined as the objective for the group, and we are striving so that in the future a strong connection is formed between the investors of America and the investors of the Kurdistan Region.”
It is worth mentioning that the relations between the Kurdistan Region and America are at a promising level, and many political, economic, and cultural sectors have been involved recently. A high-level American business delegation, owning 22 major American companies, visited the Kurdistan Region and held several meetings and gatherings with the business and industrial circles in Erbil. From there, they stated that they would work towards establishing a connection between the Kurdistan Region and America, particularly in the field of business and investment, because the Kurdistan Region is a calm area within the region, with a strong economic and business momentum, and many prominent investors in the Kurdistan Region are active in investment. They also stated that Kurdistan’s share in economic matters has always held its special importance, especially this year with the participation of the Kurdistan Investment Group alongside the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the economic delegation at Davos, which had a significant global impact.”
