Kurdish Caricaturist Wins Major Award in Egypt

Kurdish caricature artist Jabbar Sabir has achieved a major milestone by winning an award at the International Festival for “Women’s Economic Empowerment” in Damanhur, Egypt. The festival, which began earlier this month, features 301 professional caricature artists from 44 countries and continues until March 18.

Sabir, who proudly represented Kurdistan at the event, shared that the exhibition focused on showcasing women’s economic capabilities through art. The participating artists were challenged to reflect this theme in their works. Sabir’s piece stood out, earning him recognition among his international peers.

The award marks a significant achievement for Sabir, who has made a name for himself in the world of caricature art, and it highlights the growing global recognition of Kurdish artists.
