Honoring Awaz Dizayi and Aqila Rawandzi for literary contributions

The Department of Culture and Media celebrated two Kurdish writers, Awaz Dizayi and Aqila Rawandzi, during a ceremony held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. The event gathered a distinguished audience of intellectuals, writers, authors, and journalists.
Both Awaz Dizayi and Aqila Rawandzi delivered speeches, expressing their gratitude to the KDP’s Department of Culture and Media for organizing the celebration.
As part of the program, Dr. Kurdistan Mukriani and Dr. Muhammad Khidr each presented readings from the writers’ books.
At the conclusion of the evening, appreciation awards and bouquets of loyalty were presented to the honored writers. Copies of the books Nandene Kurde u Folklore Kurde Nauchay Dashte Dzayi and Kurdish Culinary Traditions and Kurdish Folklore of the Dizayi Plain Region were distributed to attendees, followed by refreshments.
