Newroz triumphs over Duhok on their home turf

In a thrilling away match, Newroz secured a 2–1 victory against Duhok inside Duhok city, marking their second consecutive win in the Iraq Stars League this season. The triumph follows their earlier success against Najaf, signaling a strong run for the team.
Coach Wali Karim praised his players’ performance, particularly highlighting Newroz’s contribution to the win.
“Duhok is a very tough team with strong home support. My players executed the plan perfectly, and today’s victory is one of the most important matches in their careers. I congratulate the players and the entire team, and I hope they continue achieving even better results,” Karim said.
With this win, Newroz has accumulated 25 points, climbing to 12th place in the league standings. Their next challenge will be against Zawra’a as they aim to continue their successful streak.
