The Saudi trade representative office opens in Erbil

“Saudi Arabia and the Kurdistan Region Advance Trade Relations”

The Saudi ambassador to Iraq announced that, in coordination with the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a new office for Saudi trade representation will be opened in Erbil.

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, a ceremony was held in Erbil province to sign the contract for establishing the Saudi trade representation office. The event was attended by the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the representative of its commercial department, the head of the Kurdistan Investment Board, and an official from the Erbil Chamber of Commerce.

Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, noted that the contract to establish the Saudi trade representation office in Erbil was signed that day. He indicated that with the establishment of this office, trade relations will further develop and enter a new phase.
