A powerful song uniting artist from all four parts of Kurdistan

In a rare and heartfelt artistic collaboration, a group of Kurdish musicians and singers from all four parts of Kurdistan have joined forces to produce a powerful new song titled “Unity” (Yekboon)—a call for peace, togetherness, and national identity.
The music, composed and performed by celebrated artist Dilovan, is paired with moving lyrics by poet Resho Ayshan, known for his evocative and patriotic verse. The song’s message is clear: while politics may divide the Kurdish people, their shared culture, language, and dreams for peace still bind them together.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the artists said the project was born out of a need to “send a message of unity in a time when Kurds are living under different political realities and pressures.” The release comes at a time when Kurdish communities across Iraq, Turkey, Syria, and Iran continue to face challenges to their identity and autonomy.
The music video—produced and directed by Hamid Urmeyî—features sweeping scenes of Kurdistan’s diverse and stunning landscapes, from its mountain ranges to ancient towns. These visuals not only highlight the beauty of the region but also serve as a tribute to the enduring spirit of the Kurdish people.
The project is now available on Dilovan’s official YouTube channel, where it has quickly gained traction and sparked emotional reactions among viewers both in Kurdistan and the diaspora.
The artists who participated in this collaborative anthem include:
Sefqan Orkêsh, Zhyan Usman, Bengin Agrî, Narin Khan Jizîrî, Hamid Urmeyî, Umer Gundî, Hêdî Jebar, Hakîmo, and Zelal.
In a region often marked by division, Yekboon stands as a reminder that culture can transcend borders—and that the Kurdish voice, when raised together, can be stronger than ever.
