Bewar region in Amedi hosts third homemade products festival

The third Homemade Products Festival of the Bewar region has begun within the borders of Amedi and will continue for several days, celebrating local culture, craftsmanship, and agricultural heritage.
This year’s festival is being held on a larger scale, with participation from Kurds across different areas and active involvement from the region’s Christian community in organizing the event.
Around 200 tents have been set up to display homemade goods, farmers’ produce, and art and cultural exhibits. The festival, which runs from October 24 to 29, also features an art exhibition showcasing the work of several photographers and displays highlighting the creativity of farmers and livestock breeders.
According to organizers, the expansion of the festival reflects its growing popularity in previous years, which attracted a large number of visitors. Throughout the event, local artists performed traditional Kurdish music, adding to the festive atmosphere and sense of community.
