Children’s art exhibition highlights talent in Tazehava

A special fine arts exhibition showcasing the creative talents of children and teenagers from Tazehava, a city in the central town of Salasi Bavajan, Kermanshah Province, has opened to the public. The exhibition, held at the Salasi Bavajan Intellectual Children’s Education Center, features 185 artistic works by local youth in three categories: paper pulp sculpture, clay plate painting, and glass painting.

The young artists expressed their excitement and pride as they shared their creations, with many emphasizing that art can be as valuable a career as professions like teaching or medicine. Mehdina Ahmadi, a young artist, shared her enthusiasm: “I am very happy that my classmates and fellow townspeople have come to visit this exhibition. People often aim to become doctors or teachers, but this exhibition shows that there are other talents and professions to explore.”

Another artist, Aine Mohammadi-Tabar, commented on the simplicity and charm of the displayed works: “These items might seem simple, like a clay bowl, but through artistic techniques, we’ve turned them into something beautiful that can be used for home decor or office spaces.”

Despite challenges faced by Tazehava, such as the Iran-Iraq War, poor infrastructure, and the 2017 earthquake, the town’s Intellectual Children’s Education Center continues to thrive, serving 1,300 members. The exhibition highlights the resilience and creativity of the community, offering a glimpse into the future of these young artists.
