Don’t blame KRG, blame yourself

By   Salam Abdullah

On Saturday, December 25, 2025, several members of the Iraqi parliament issued an offensive statement against the budget of the Kurdistan Region, which is intended to stir up the people of the regions without services and backwardness They suffer to the point that they even need ordinary drinking water In fact, it is the parties and authorities themselves that run these areas and have brought them to this pain, because what budget, money, projects and aid are allocated to these areas, they themselves loose and dozens of imaginary projects The result is the situation, which is clearly seen in the name of projects, poverty and collapse of these areas.

These areas are deteriorating day by day, while 93.5% of the Iraqi budget goes to these areas, which are actually estimated at billions of dollars and no one knows what will happen to them, but with this huge budget, the population of these areas They live a life of misery and poverty.

In contrast to the imaginary budget of the two regions(Central and southern Iraq) the budget allocated to the Kurdistan Region is 6.5%, which is the pain that reaches the Kurdistan region monthly after dozens of delegations, which is reluctant to reach the region In no way that is full of corruption and They want to cover up their theft by saying that the reason for their delay is that a lot of budget is sent to the (KRG) and the prosperity and development of the kurdish region is the reason for the  high budget which is sent to the region which is only 6.5% of the entire Iraqi budget.

According to (the 2023 Global Corruption Index, ) Iraq is one of the most corrupt countries in the world in 2023 and ranked 154 out of 180 countries in the world And arrest your own corrupt authoritarians, who took hundreds of fake projects and  stole  them  in which are called thefts of the century, and blame them ,do not go to blame KRG
