Kamkaran group to perform in Erbil

The Kamkaran group will hold a concert in Erbil on the evening of May 23, 2025. Fans of the group are invited to attend the performance, which will feature a selection of their musical works.
Kamkaran is a renowned family ensemble founded in 1965 by Hassan Kamkar. The group is composed of seven siblings from Sanandaj in Eastern Kurdistan. Known for their distinctive blend of traditional Kurdish and classical music, the Kamkaran group has performed extensively across Eastern and Southern Kurdistan, Iran, and internationally.
In 2003, they gained global recognition after performing at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony honoring Shirin Ebadi. Their upcoming concert in Erbil marks a significant cultural event for music enthusiasts in the region.
