Erbil Citadel hosts cultural concert with Kurdish artists

At the historic Erbil Citadel, a special concert was organized featuring two music groups.

The event brought together a female artist from the East of Kurdistan (Kurdish region in Iran) and her ensemble, along with a music group from Sulaymaniyah.
Speaking about her participation, the female artist said: “I have been working in art for 11 years. I studied guitar at Tehran University in the music department. This experience was very good for me, because we cannot perform such concerts in our own country. This concert was very different for me, and I congratulate the organizers.”
Meanwhile, singer and musician Julia shared her experience: “It’s been almost three years since I started singing. Together with my friends, as a music group, we were able to participate in this concert at Erbil Citadel under the name Zahawi Music House. We congratulate all the organizers of this beautiful event.”
The Zahawi Music House was established by Hajar Zahawi in Erbil on November 4, 2021. Its founding concert featured artists from all four parts of Kurdistan, setting the foundation for future artistic performances such as this one.
