Erbil hosts first International Logistics Exhibition

Erbil welcomed its first-ever international logistics exhibition at the Erbil International Fairground, bringing together local and global leaders in transport and logistics. The opening ceremony was attended by Ano Jawhar, Minister of Transport and Communications; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations; Sarwar Hawari, Deputy Minister of Trade; as well as consuls, diplomats, and business leaders.
Organized by the Kurdistan Region Import and Export Federation, the exhibition showcased trucking, maritime shipping, aviation, customs services, electronic cargo tracking systems, warehouse management, and delivery solutions. Companies from across the region and the world displayed innovations in customs clearance, e-commerce, banking, insurance, and supply chain management.
The event aimed to unite land, air, sea, and delivery transport companies under one roof, promote modern logistics and warehousing technologies, create job opportunities, and strengthen trade relations between local and international firms.
Following the opening, Governor Omed Khoshnaw praised the initiative and the organizers, emphasizing the exhibition’s potential to boost investment, partnership, and Erbil’s position as a strategic trade hub for Iraq and the wider region.
The four-day event provided businesses in import and export with a unique opportunity to connect with transport companies offering competitive pricing and high-quality services, while exploring the latest trends in the global logistics sector.
