Erbil Sports Club reconciles with its fans for the upcoming season

In the Iraq Stars League, Erbil Sports Club, the owner of three league titles and having reached the AFC Cup final twice, has given its fans great hope that their club will return to competition.
Ala Didevan, secretary of Erbil Sports Club, told Kurdish Globe:
For this season of the Iraq Stars League, they are making preparations and trying to overcome the administrative crisis they faced. Now, they have elected a new president and have started preparations for the next season of the Iraq Stars League. In the midst of their preparations, after the end of the contract of the club’s former coach, Samir Babo, they signed a contract with Iraqi coach Basim Qasim.
Ala says: The main goal of the club is to reconcile with its fans because they have great hope for the capital’s club, and in the previous season, they were very worried due to the team’s poor results.
she also mentioned that due to the expiration of the coach’s contract, they have now brought a new coach to the club, and all player contracts have been entrusted to the coach and the technical director of the club.
Regarding the renovation of the club’s stadium, she said: Work is being done daily to renew the stadium’s turf, and we hope to provide the best turf for our players. We expect that we will have to play several matches at the beginning of the season away from our home stadium due to the stadium’s preparations.
Ala also mentioned: It is a difficult year for our club, but we will do our best to achieve a happy result for the club and the fans, which will be a source of happiness. Every club strives for the top ranks of the league table, but for us, who have been able to become league champions several times, they have more hope in us.
Ala Didevan says that negotiations to bring in professional and very good players are ongoing, and the coach and the technical director of the club will sign the contracts. They will sign the necessary contracts according to the needs of the playing positions.
In the end, Ala thanked the Kurdish Globe newspaper for covering the preparations of Erbil Club for the new season of the Iraq Stars League.
