Four-day Erbil exhibition brings together more than 1,000 investors and businesspeople
The Invest Expo 2026 International Exhibition concluded in Erbil after four days, attracting more than 27,000 visitors and resulting in 684 purchase and sales contracts.
The closing ceremony was attended by Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Kurdistan Region Board of Investment.
According to figures released by Invest Expo Company on Sunday, 27,460 people visited the exhibition, while more than 1,000 businessmen, investors and entrepreneurs participated.
The event brought together companies, investors, businesspeople and members of the public, providing a platform to showcase investment opportunities and strengthen connections between businesses and potential investors.
A total of 684 purchase and sales contracts were signed during the four-day exhibition, reflecting the level of commercial activity generated by this year’s event.
Invest Expo Company said the strong response from the public and business community reflects continued activity in the Kurdistan Region’s investment sector and interest in its market.
The exhibition also highlighted the scale of the Region’s real estate sector. More than 70,000 real estate offices operate across the Kurdistan Region, including around 7,500 in Erbil, with hundreds of property transactions taking place through these offices each day.
The figures underline the importance of the real estate sector to economic activity and the role of investment exhibitions in bringing developers, investors and prospective buyers together.
The event also offered citizens special property discounts and other promotional opportunities, with organizers seeking to stimulate activity in the real estate market and facilitate home purchases for hundreds of families.
Previous editions of Invest Expo have helped position Erbil as a meeting point for real estate developers, investors and buyers, while showcasing the Kurdistan Region’s urban development and investment opportunities.
The conclusion of Invest Expo 2026 comes as the Kurdistan Region continues efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment, diversify its economy and strengthen the role of the private sector in economic development.
