Kurdish delegate honored as peace ambassador in Cairo

At the World Peace Congress in Cairo, Hakim Adil Mullah Salih was elected as an Ambassador for Peace, representing the Kurdistan Region among participants from more than twenty Arab and foreign countries. He was the only Kurd in attendance and took part wearing traditional Kurdish attire while carrying the Kurdistan flag.
Salih was also selected as a member of the congress’s High Supervisory Committee in recognition of his continued work in peacebuilding and charitable activities.
In a statement to Kurdish Club, he said it was a great honor to introduce Kurdish culture and heritage on an international stage. “It is a source of pride for me and every patriotic Kurd to represent our culture at any international gathering, wearing authentic Kurdish attire and carrying the sacred flag of Kurdistan,” he said.
He added that this was his third participation in the congress as the sole Kurdish representative. He officially signed the committee work, recommendations, and final report, and noted that he has once again been entrusted by the Peace Center to continue his role as an Ambassador for Peace for both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
The World Peace Center Congress is held annually in Cairo under the presidency of Mohammed Shalan and addresses major issues related to peace and security in the Middle East.
