Currently residing in Belgium, Gardakaneh recently achieved a remarkable victory, securing first place in the prestigious European MMA Championship in the 94kg weight class. This championship is recognized as one of the largest and most renowned Jiu-Jitsu events in the world.
In a moment of triumph, Gardakaneh proudly raised the Kurdish flag while receiving his first-place medal, a gesture that highlighted both his personal achievement and his deep connection to his Kurdish heritage. Later, in a celebratory video selfie, he expressed his joy and enthusiasm, stating, “I became the first champion across the entire European continent,” before dedicating his victory to all Kurds and Kurdistan, with a special mention of Rojava (Western Kurdistan).
Gardakaneh’s victory in the MMA arena is just one aspect of his multifaceted life. In addition to his athletic achievements, he is a passionate political activist, actively advocating for Kurdish rights. He also pursues a career as a fashion model, regularly participating in fashion shows.
