Kurdish folk music celebrates culture in Sweden

A vibrant Kurdish music concert held in Gothenburg, Sweden, recently brought an authentic taste of Kurdish culture to the Swedish audience. The event, which showcased traditional Kurdish music and attire, captivated both Kurdish and international attendees.

Farzad Mahdinian, the performing artist, shared his excitement about the event, telling Kurdish Globe: “This concert was a personal celebration for me, where I presented several beautiful Kurdish songs and brought joy to the hearts of the audience. We had the chance to share authentic Kurdish music and culture with everyone, including both Kurdish citizens and foreigners.”

Mahdinian emphasized the importance of such events, saying, “It’s crucial to continue hosting these concerts so that Kurdish culture and traditional songs can reach audiences around the world.” The event marked another step in the growing recognition and appreciation of Kurdish heritage in Sweden.
