Music festival celebrated with special concert in Erbil

Cultural event highlights artistic exchange between the Kurdistan Region and France

Erbil marked the international Music Festival with a special concert attended by government officials, diplomats, artists, and music enthusiasts.
Among those present were Erbil Governor Yan Braim, the French Consul General in Erbil, the Director General of Culture and Arts of Erbil, and representatives of cultural organizations and diplomatic missions.
The concert featured a diverse program of classical and contemporary musical performances, showcasing the richness of artistic expression and drawing strong appreciation from the audience.
Originally launched in France in 1982, the Music Festival has grown into a global celebration that encourages musicians to perform in public spaces and cultural venues, making music accessible to all.
The event in Erbil reflected the growing cultural ties between the Kurdistan Region and France and highlighted the role of culture as a bridge between peoples. Organizers said the celebration also reinforces Erbil’s position as a vibrant center for arts and cultural exchange in the region.
