“Night of Loyalty for Ismail Beşikçi” Held in Istanbul

On Friday, May 15, 2026, an event titled “A Night of Loyalty for Ismail Beşikçi” took place in Istanbul. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Salar Osman, Head of the Culture and Media Department of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), along with more than 100 prominent figures.

During the ceremony, Ismail Beşikçi—the renowned academic, writer, thinker, and friend of the Kurdish people—participated live via video link and delivered a speech. In his address, Beşikçi highlighted the

significant role of President Masoud Barzani and expressed his special gratitude and appreciation for the President’s steadfast stances.

A message from Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, was also read at the event. In his message, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Ismail Beşikçi’s contributions to understanding the historical and social realities of the Kurdish people.
