Painting Exhibition for a Kurdish Artist Opens in Vienna

In Vienna, the capital of Austria, a Kurdish painter who owns a gallery is opening an exhibition titled “Artist and Modern” which showcases a Kurdish artist. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the head of Vienna’s cultural department.
Painter Fayeq Rasoul announced his new exhibition, explaining, “I have an art salon because a salon differs from a gallery. A gallery is open daily for public viewing of paintings, whereas a salon is meant for a selective elite. I own a 100-square-metre salon in Vienna where I host special evening events for distinguished guests. This exhibition showcases works by an Austrian artist and features paintings for sale. Titled ‘Artist and Modern,’ it highlights the importance of models, particularly female ones, in contemporary art history. Art has deep ties to religion; Christians have historically benefited from art through sculptures, paintings, and music displayed in churches, which enriched their spiritual experience.”
