Sisters Kharman and Talar Hirani Star in Kurdish Drama

Sisters Kharman and Talar Hirani have once again captivated audiences with their powerful performances, appearing together in the Kurdish historical drama Adiabene, aired on Kurdistan TV.
Both actresses are well-known figures in the theater scene of the Kurdistan Region, with careers spanning several decades. Kharman Hirani, born in 1965 in Shaqlawa, and her sister Talar, born in 1972 in Rania, have often shared the stage and screen since beginning their artistic journeys in the 1980s.
Kharman, a seasoned actress with over 40 years of experience, made her debut in 1984 with the play Black Migration at the Fine Arts Institute in Sulaymaniyah. Reflecting on her collaboration with her sister, she shared: “It’s a special feeling when Talar and I work together. We influence each other deeply and share many similarities.”
Their appearance in Adiabene adds another memorable chapter to their shared legacy in Kurdish theater and television.
