Southern Kurdistan artists perform at Rojava festival

The seventh Art Festival in Western Kurdistan brought together theater artists from all four parts of Kurdistan, showcasing a variety of performances under the slogan “True patriotism is the brave artist.” The event took place at the Mohammed Shekho Center, drawing wide participation and attention.
Among the performers were three artists from Southern Kurdistan — Gaziza Omar, Sawsan Omar, and Nawzhin Mohammed — who were officially invited to present their monodrama titled “Red Music.” The group performed on the festival’s opening day, receiving strong praise from both audiences and fellow artists.
Speaking about the experience, Sawsan Omar expressed her gratitude: “We were honored to participate in this meaningful event. The warm welcome we received from the people of Rojava, especially from the organizers and artists, was unforgettable.”
The festival highlighted the unity and shared cultural heritage of Kurdish artists across borders, while offering a powerful stage for artistic expression and patriotism.
