The revolution that young people

By Stara Khalid

Unlike the youth in developed countries, the young people of Kurdistan are heirs to a history of struggle, bloodshed, sacrifice, and the devastation of our country by occupiers. All the past sacrifices in Kurdistan were for today and for the freedom that our martyrs did not live to see. However, preserving, developing, and advancing this experience is a trust and responsibility that rests with today’s youth, as young people are the energy, capability, and catalyst for progress in all countries.
Therefore, the youth who inherited yesterday’s revolution and the sacrifices of our people must, alongside the Peshmerga of Kurdistan, launch a revolution in technology, science, and politics to advance our achievements and our people’s just cause.
Our national spiritual leader, the immortal Barzani, talked about the youth and their role in the Aylul and Gulan revolutions: “The youth are the steel wall in all revolutions and uprisings.” Suppose the youth were the steel wall in all revolutions and uprisings against the occupiers of our land and country yesterday, and today our country exists in the shadow of the struggle of yesterday’s youth who devoted their lives and souls to the struggle for today. In that case, the revolution of our nation yesterday must be combined with today’s technological revolution under the shadow of Kurdistan’s flag, becoming the steel wall protecting our achievements.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party, which throughout its 78-year history full of giving and struggle has played a prominent and influential role in its efforts to achieve more gains for the conscious and passionate youth who were the hope of our people, must continue to play its important and proud role in the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party under the leadership of (President Masoud Barzani). We must serve this experience more and protect the achievements that have been realized. Both domestically and internationally, youth should play their fundamental and influential role in building Kurdish society for the further progress of our country and to introduce our people’s just cause through the technological revolution.
