The Iraqi political process is not based on the right foundation, instead of this, on a kind of policy of self-imposition and marginalization by the dominant structure in the process. This vision has opened the whole of Iraq to an uncertain future not only politically, but also economically, security and socially.
This mentality is considered the dominant mentality of the ruler. Therefore, instead of finding a way out, the crises are getting deeper and more difficult. According to observers and experts, the future of the country is not expected to improve with such a mentality.
One of the most complex and controversial issues, both at the level of the ruling structure and at the level of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government, is the issue of the remaining conflicts and problems between Erbil and Baghdad. Although the constitution as the supreme law of the state has resolved these issues, but as it is obvious in Iraq, what rules not the constitution and laws, but what decides on decisive issues.
The Kurdistan Region, whether at the level of political leadership or government and official institutions, has always insisted that problems and conflicts must be resolved through an appropriate mechanism that reflects the characteristics of the Kurdistan Region as a political, legal and constitutionally recognized entity.
The consequences of this policy are obvious, what kind of disaster it has caused and what kind of crisis it has faced in the past. The same view is still being observed at the level of political power and the ruling structure towards the Kurdistan Region, in order to create a new reality in the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the federal state through the policy of maximum pressure and coercion. This autocratic mentality is directing all the major joints of the state in the service of the agenda and interests of a particular party. In order to achieve this goal, which is to completely return to the starting point and deprive the Kurdistan Region of its uniqueness as established in the principles of reconstruction of the new Iraq.
When the Erbil-Baghdad talks reach a deadlock, which resulted from the increase and constant excuses by the Iraqi government, the political authorities in order to impose their unilateral will every time put another issue into the negotiation process. In a sense, it has led to no agreements being implemented and constantly finding new excuses to force the Kurdistan Region to give up its constitutional and legal rights through the policy of maximum pressure and reduce all disputes only within the salary issue, which is only part of the process.
Therefore, what can be seen in the intention of the Iraqi government and the hegemonic parties towards the Kurdistan Region is to continue the policy of keeping the issues hanging and reducing the legitimate demands of the Kurdistan Region. This kind of policy in Iraq, which is currently being pursued against the Kurdistan Region, is directly related to the Iraqi elections, which are scheduled to be held on November 11 this year, in order to attract the attention and votes of the Iraqi street!
