KRG Prime Minister visits Manama to strengthen relations

On December 9, 2024, Masrour Barzani, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime visited Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to enhance political, economic, and commercial relations between the Kurdistan Region and Bahrain. He was accompanied by a delegation.

During his visit, PM Barzani met with senior officials of the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the Crown Prince, several ministers, and officials from the economic, commercial, and cultural sectors. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in security, the economy, and trade, as well as addressing developments in the Middle East.

In 2021, Prime Minister Barzani met with the King of Bahrain and participated in the Manama Dialogue. He also held bilateral meetings with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Additionally, Prime Minister Barzani held a bilateral meeting with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Abdullatif Al Zayani. In 2022, 2023, and 2024, he met with Bahraini delegations in Davos. To further develop the commercial, financial, and economic sectors, he held discussions with Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa, Minister of National Economy and Finance, and Abdullah Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce.
