The election campaign is getting heated day by day and the parties are busy with conferences, meetings and seminars, and each party wants to secure as many votes as possible for its party to go strong to Baghdad.
The Iraqi constitution defines the country as a federal country, but 20 years later there is only one federal region in the country: the Kurdistan Region.
Although Iraq is a country of different ethnic groups, religions and sects, but to date only the Kurdistan Region is seen as a federal unit, although several attempts were made to create another region in Iraq, but They did not succeed or rather were not allowed, so our region remains isolated.
In fact, we must also mention the fact that the authorities in Baghdad are so eager to impose a centralized system that they are not in favor of the federal system If he can, he will destroy our region.
Therefore, it is the duty of our Kurdish parties to understand that we will not get anything in Baghdad if we do not work together with this kind of mentality that tries to impose itself and its own system The parties should think about the future if after the elections, which we would have liked to be before the elections, in Baghdad as a federal unit together and have the same goal and not be divided in Baghdad and the House of Representatives. It is difficult to achieve significant success. Previous rounds testify to this fact.
Therefore, we say that we may not be able to enter the elections as a front and as a region with a single list, but we can after the elections in the Iraqi parliament as representatives of the entire Kurdistan Region Let us show Baghdad, thus protecting our region and its achievements.
