Young Kurdish innovator pioneers human-like robot technology

The innovator has designed “Lizan Soulbot,” a human-like robot capable of sensing emotions and assisting daily tasks.

Lizan Dzayi, a Kurdish girl, is bringing Kurdistan into the world of artificial intelligence and robotics with her pioneering invention of a smart robot, now being developed globally to make everyday life easier.
Born in Erbil and currently living in the Netherlands while pursuing her studies in Kurdistan, Lizan is recognized as the first Kurd to design and secure manufacturing rights for an intelligent robot. She named her creation the “Lizan Soulbot,” a name that reflects her vision of technology that carries human-like understanding and sensitivity.
What sets Lizan’s invention apart is her determination to create robots that go beyond mechanical function. The Soulbot is designed in human form, not only to perform tasks efficiently but also to build companionship with people. It can interpret emotions, respond sensitively, and assist humans in both work and daily activities. Lizan carefully crafted the robot’s body parts to ensure smooth movement and natural interaction, allowing it to complete tasks with the ease and adaptability of a human being.
