The Kurdish feature film “Grandma’s House,” directed by Mohammed Mustafa and produced by Bahoz Nasraddin, is set to be released in cinemas across Kurdistan on August 27, 2026.
The film is a family comedy that aims to entertain audiences while also exploring social and educational themes. Producer Bahoz Nasraddin said the goal is to give families an opportunity to laugh together while leaving the cinema with meaningful messages and reflections from the story.
Nasraddin described the production as an effort to offer Kurdish families a different kind of cinematic experience, one that allows both children and adults to connect with the characters and enjoy the story together.
The film features several Kurdish artists, including Sirwan Jamal, Kharman Hirani, Hellwest Jamal, Helyan Sherzad, Hatwan Hirsh, Zin Rewaz, and Dêrê Darko.
“Grandma’s House” will begin screening in cinemas across Kurdistan on August 27 and continue in the following days.
