Kurdish trailblazer shines at bodybuilding championship

Dilkhosh Abdullah, a 33-year-old Kurdish athlete from the town of Rania, has made history by securing second place at the prestigious World Bodybuilding Championship in India. Representing Kurdistan and Iraq, she was the only Kurdish woman to compete in the event, which was organized under the supervision of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB).

Dilkhosh shared the news of her remarkable achievement on her official Instagram account, expressing pride in representing her homeland on the global stage. Her accomplishment at the international level follows a string of successes, including winning first place in regional and national bodybuilding championships across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

This groundbreaking achievement highlights her dedication to the sport and her role as a trailblazer for Kurdish women in international athletics.
