In preparation for the tournament, the team trained in Kuwait, where they faced the Kuwaiti women’s futsal team in two friendly matches.

A notable portion of the Iraqi team hails from Kurdistan, with several Kurdish athletes showcasing exceptional talent. In the months leading up to the qualifiers, a training camp was held in Kuwait with 14 players, 7 of whom were Kurdish. Among them were Salar Abdulwahid, Bahra Dara, Sipal Shukur, Derin Mahmoud, Faiza Jalal, Awaz Younis, and Ilaf Hisameddin.
