Sanharib girls set sights on another title

Sanharib Volleyball Club has begun preparations for the upcoming Iraqi Club Volleyball League season, aiming to defend the championship title it secured last year.
The club recently launched its pre-season training program and held its first training session as players and coaching staff prepare for a new competitive campaign. Management has also moved quickly in the transfer market, renewing the contracts of several key players while adding new talent to strengthen the squad.
Head coach Hakar Barqi expressed confidence in the team’s ambitions for the season, emphasizing that Sanharib is determined to build on last year’s success.
“Our goal is not only to retain the Iraqi league title but also to compete strongly in international competitions,” Barqi said. “We had a strong team last season, and we are working to become even stronger this year.”
After capturing the Iraqi women’s volleyball championship last season, Sanharib has focused on maintaining the core of its successful roster while making strategic additions to improve performance and depth. Club officials believe the new signings will help the team remain one of the strongest contenders in Iraqi volleyball.
With preparations now underway, Sanharib enters the new season with high expectations, determined to defend its domestic crown and establish itself as a competitive force beyond Iraq’s borders.
