Namo Fazil looks ahead after his defeat to Kaik Brito ended his seven-fight winning streak and denied him a UFC contract opportunity.
Kurdish MMA fighter Namo Fazil has vowed to return stronger after suffering a knockout loss to Kaik Brito on Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).
Fazil was stopped by a right hand just seconds into the third round, ending his seven-fight winning streak and handing him only the second defeat of his professional career.
Despite the setback, Fazil said he is already focused on making a comeback.
“You will see me come back very soon. This was a small fluke that happened, and you’ll see a better version,” Fazil said.
The bout represented a major opportunity for Fazil, who entered the fight on a strong winning run and was seeking a UFC contract.
Brito, meanwhile, secured a UFC contract with the spectacular knockout, making the finish one of the notable moments of the latest DWCS season.
Fazil’s defeat ended his immediate hopes of earning a UFC contract, but his post-fight message made clear that he intends to return to competition and rebuild his momentum.
The Kurdish fighter’s latest statement also follows his broader appeal to Kurdish supporters to continue backing him as he works toward another opportunity to compete on the international stage.
