New TV series to captivate audiences

Prominent Kurdish artist and filmmaker Hama Rashid Haras emphasizes the need to prioritize and advance Kurdish art, particularly in film and drama, to showcase Kurdish identity and culture to the world.

In an interview with Kurdish Globe, Haras shared that a powerful drama series, which portrays the daily life and realities of Kurdish society, will soon be broadcast on Kurdistan TV. He revealed that he plays a significant role in the series, highlighting the importance of cinema and drama in promoting Kurdish heritage. “It’s crucial to focus on advancing Kurdish art in all fields, to introduce our culture and society to the outside world, and to accelerate its development,” Haras said.

He also pointed out that Kurds are equally capable as any other nation when it comes to advancing cinema and reaching global audiences. “We have talented actors and important figures who can play key roles in promoting Kurdish art on the world stage,” he added.
