The town of Herir hosted its first festival dedicated to food and local agricultural products, bringing together farmers, artisans, and residents in a vibrant celebration of Kurdish culture.
The event opened with traditional Kurdish music, dances, and performances, attended by local officials and a large number of visitors. Alongside the festivities, the festival featured exhibitions highlighting the region’s cultural and traditional heritage.
Farmers and producers presented a wide range of local foods and agricultural goods, warmly received by attendees. Many participants emphasized that such festivals not only promote local culture but also provide valuable markets for farmers — aligning with the Kurdistan Regional Government’s ongoing efforts to expand access to both domestic and international markets for regional products.
