“Canvas of life” exhibition highlights gender equality

An art exhibition titled “Canvas of Life” was held in Erbil, bringing together artists whose works explored gender equality, rights, and responsibilities. The exhibition attracted a large number of visitors throughout its run.
Organized by the Gender Equality Unit within the Ministry of Culture and Youth, the exhibition featured paintings that examined equality between women and men and encouraged visitors to reflect on the role of gender in everyday life.
The artworks addressed equality in rights and responsibilities while raising broader philosophical questions about relationships, social responsibility, and the foundations of a balanced life.
One of the participating women artists, who displayed three paintings, praised the organizers for creating a space where artists could address important social issues through their work. She said exhibitions of this kind can have a strong impact because gender equality is an issue that touches everyone’s life and can encourage greater responsibility toward one another.
She also expressed appreciation for the prominent role given to women artists, saying the exhibition provided them with the opportunity to freely express their artistic perspectives on the important and sensitive issue of equal rights.
