As part of activities for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Amed Metropolitan Municipality organized a theatre production titled Jîn for women in the city.
The play was staged at the Chand Amed Cultural and Congress Center, where around two hundred fifty women attended the event.
Jîn portrays women’s struggles and their ways of coping with grief. The audience followed the performance with mixed emotions, at moments moved to silence and at others responding with applause and ululations.
