Twins festival brings color and culture to Sulaymaniyah

For the first time in the city’s history, a festival dedicated to twin children was held in Hawari Park, drawing wide attention and participation from families, local artisans, and business owners.
The unique event celebrated twin children through a vibrant mix of cultural, artistic, and commercial displays. Handicrafts, Kurdish food, and a variety of local products and brands were showcased throughout the festival grounds. Notably, many of the participating business owners were women, highlighting the growing role of female entrepreneurs in the local economy.
In addition to the market-style displays, the festival featured lively performances, including music, traditional songs, and circus acts that added to the festive atmosphere. The event marked a joyful and unprecedented celebration of twins in the region, blending family fun with cultural expression and community support.
Organizers and attendees alike hope the twins festival will become a new tradition in Sulaymaniyah, bringing people together through creativity and shared identity.
