Erbil marks World Cinema Day with special screening

A ceremony was held in Erbil to mark the 130th anniversary of World Cinema Day, featuring the screening of the film Triangle of Death.
The event took place at Empire Cinema Hall in the presence of Ano Jawhar, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kurdistan Regional Government; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Farhang Ghafur, General Director of Culture and Art of Erbil; Shakhawan Mustafa, Director of Cinema; along with a large number of artists and filmmakers.
Organised by the Cinema Department of the General Directorate of Culture and Art of Erbil, with the support of the Erbil Governorate, the ceremony began by honouring the artistic legacy, creativity, and works of the late Zuhair Abdul Masih and his family.
During the event, Triangle of Death, directed by Adnan Osman and starring the late Zuhair Abdul Masih in a leading role, was screened for attendees.
The programme also included the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the staff of the Cinema and Public Project, in addition to other artistic activities that attracted wide attention from those present.
