Erbil SC striker Mustafa Qabil has received his second transfer offer in as many weeks, with Egyptian giants Al Ahli formally entering negotiations to sign the Kurdish attacker, according to Kurdistan24.
Sources indicate that Al Ahli have contacted Erbil SC’s management after their scouting department closely monitored Qabil’s performances this season. The Egyptian club has reportedly opened direct talks with the president of Erbil SC and expressed strong interest in securing the player’s services.
As part of the proposal, Al Ahli have offered a player-exchange deal involving Slovenian striker Nejc Gradisar, along with covering part of his salary, in return for Qabil’s release. Gradisar, who has represented Slovenia at international level and previously featured in the FIFA Club World Cup — including a starting appearance against Inter Miami — is said to be unsettled at Al Ahli.
The 23-year-old Slovenian forward has made 38 appearances for Al Ahli, scoring nine goals and registering five assists, and is valued at approximately €1.2 million. By comparison, Qabil’s current market value is estimated at around €500,000.
Reports indicate that Al Ahli are now awaiting Erbil’s response to the proposed exchange. Should the deal be rejected, the Egyptian club is prepared to pursue Qabil through a direct transfer by activating his release clause, which is set at 400 million Iraqi dinars.
The 20-year-old winger remains under contract with Erbil SC until the summer of 2027. Since joining the club, Qabil has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 35 appearances across all competitions, emerging as one of the most promising Kurdish attackers in the Iraqi Stars League.
Erbil SC have not yet issued an official response, as discussions are understood to be ongoing while the club evaluates its options amid growing regional interest in the young forward.
