Erbil hosts joint sculpture exhibition for World Art Day

A joint sculpture exhibition titled Na: The Art of Sculpture opened at the Media Gallery in Erbil, bringing together a group of Kurdish artists in celebration of World Art Day.
The exhibition features works by 14 sculptors from different cities across the Kurdistan Region, highlighting the diversity and creativity of contemporary Kurdish sculpture.
Ahmad Nabaz, a sculptor and organiser of the exhibition, said the event was arranged to coincide with the international occasion.
“This exhibition brought together 14 sculptors from various cities of Kurdistan, and it was organised on the occasion of World Art Day,” he said.
Nabaz added that holding the exhibition on such a global cultural occasion gives the event added significance and purpose.
The exhibition attracted strong public interest, with visitors expressing enthusiasm as they viewed the artworks on display. Artists and attendees alike stressed the importance of supporting all forms of art, noting that sculpture remains one of the most distinguished artistic disciplines.
They also highlighted the growing presence of Kurdish artists in the field, whose works continue to gain recognition through exhibitions and cultural events.
The participating artists include Wahbi Rasul, Rebwar Saeed, Namo Rostamzada, Hama Hashim, Ahmad Nabaz, Azad Karim, Naz Ali, Narmin Mustafa, Bashdar Nuri, Shukr Saeed, Khayri Adam, Jwar Isa, and Kosar Jalal.
